Sahara Desert Trek...Fundraising Begins !
(Posted by Mark, 11th November 2007)

The Macmillan Sahara Trek looms closer, and training started (kind of) a couple of weeks ago with some 2 and 3 hour walks in the hills around our village in Andalucia, Spain. I have commandeered the company of my 7 year old son, Dylan, who reminds me that being 41 and eager to make a difference in the world is not the same as being a 7 year old, nimble mountain goatboy.

Dyl is selling Christmas cards (drawn by his fair hand) to raise money for Macmillan and is chipping away at the £2500 target every day. Myself and other friends and family are inspiring/pestering friends and colleagues to make a contribution, however small, to prove that many hands make light work.

Jen, Tam and I will be very proud to achieve our £2500 (each) target for Macmillan, and hope that you will follow my progress and support me if you can. Donations can be made using the widget below, or you can follow the link below :

Thank you in advance :-)
