So.......our friends at Kontraband.com sent us over 2000 unique visitors in 2 days, and we're very happy to welcome all of you who signed up to Spreading the Love - you're in at the beginning of something big ! The really exciting thing for us is that you live all over - mainly USA, Australia, UK and Dubai - and it's great to know that you're spreading the love (and maybe even a little naughtiness) all around the world !
Can I just say a special 'thank you' to Martina for being the fastest sign up so far - less than 15 minutes between hearing about the site, and actually signing up - what kept you !

Well - for those of you who have been with us from the start, we're launching a day later than planned - but the site looks even better for the extra day's work, we think !
We're just waiting for our text links to go live on our friend's site at www.kontraband.com - they are the third biggest viral site in the world - 500,000 new visitors a day ! so we should be lucky and get great traffic from the start - we'll keep you posted how we do.
We're a bit concerned that there aren't enough eCards yet, but we really wanted to launch for Valentine's Day, so there is a bias towards Valentine's eCards right now - but we're adding new cards every day, so please bear with us !
Before I go, I just want to thank Tris for some inspired copywriting over the last few days - you're a hardcore 'STL Crew member' ! And while I'm at it, thanks to Biggie and Kal - I think 'Spreading The Love' is going to do great things. (Jen and Ads - you've worked beyond the call of duty, too - so big thanks to you, too !)

As I sit here, my colleagues are tapping away furiously on their laptops, adding the finishing touches to our new site, Spreading The Love. My partner Kal and I have been working on this since last January, and Biggie joined us last May to build and maintain the site for us - and she's done a grand job so far.
We've been sent ecards from time to time - and without being too rude, they were rather lame and a bit sappy, but they were from friends, so we turned a blind eye. But when we wanted to find a site with funky, funny, contemporary ecards to send to our funky, funny, contemporary friends (well, most of them) we couldn't find a site - at all.
So, (you guessed it) we set about developing the site we couldn't find. And after a lot of head scratching, brainstorming, time and a fair bit of our money, we reckon we're ready to say hello (actually, we officially go live on Monday!) It's early days for us, so please do forgive us if you find things aren't working properly - we're still working on it day and night (with bags under our eyes to prove it).
If you're an artist, photographer, cartoonist, illustrator, Flash artist.......
...you can upload your work into the site and it'll get sent around the world as ecards, at the same time promoting you and your website (if you have one - if not, people will be able to contact you via a form on your 'Profile' page.
. Your work will get sent all around the world as gorgeous ecards.
. Whenever someone receives their ecard, there will be a link to your 'Gallery' on Spreading the Love, and a link to your website - great marketing, exposure and traffic for you !

...just check out the fab selection of eCards we have - and it's growing !!
. When you subscribe, you get an account and a reminder facility, so you get brownie points for not forgetting birthdays etc.
. You also have an 'Address Book' and you can track cards you have sent, and cards you have chosen to be sent in the future.
